Neoregelia 'Babe'. A hybrid by Australian hybridizer Grace Goode who is famous for her miniatures. Reported as a cross between 'Fairy Paint' and concentrica, both rather large plants, the cross is either reported in error or the plant we have is actually something else. Ours is a small plant, barely 4 inches tall in a tight, ampoule shape. The leaves are light green and heavily banded with reddish brown. Very attractive. Stoloniferous, it forms nice little clusters. Suitable for mounting, basket culture or for use in terrariums.
